Turtle from OWLS paid us another visit, this time with some surprise guests - tadpoles! The girls learned all about amphibians and the life cycle of the frog.

Eygypian hieroglyphics
The class did work on the Egyptians with Ms Turley recently and wrote their names in Egyptian hieroglyphics!
Pressed flowers
We had pressed beautiful flowers from the school garden in September. A few weeks ago, we opened up the newspaper to see what they looked like, and make lovely vases with the flowers.
Seachtain na Gaeilge
The class had great fun during Seachtain na Gaeilge - they did Irish dancing as part of PE, performed 'Beidh Aonach Amárach' for the Senior Tionól and did a Haka in yard. There was no luck winning the Pota Óir this year - maybe next year!

OWLS
OWLS have been visiting our classroom! OWLS stands for the charity 'outdoor, wildlife, leaning and survival', and once a month we have been visited by Turtle! On the first visit we learned about birds and went outside to spot some. On the second visit, the class learned about hibernation, and stored away some 'food' for animals in the school garden. Everyone in the class has picked a native, wild animal to be an expert on - have a look at some of our factfiles.
